May-June
- yellowfin tuna, big eye tuna, mahi mahi, wahoo, blue and white marlin
- May thru June is a great time to fish off of Va. This is when we catch most of our tuna and dolphin (mahi mahi). and we can really have some great meat fishing.
- This is the best time to go and catch meat fish to bring home to eat. During this time we can catch yellowfin and bigeye tuna and mahi mahi, sometimes we weill have wahoos mixed in as well. This can also be a good time to catch blue marlins and sometimes the blue marlin fishing gets very good.
July

- July is also a good month to fish and is kind of a transitional month. July usualy starts out with decent tuna and dolphin fishing and ends with good marlin and dolphin fishing. Toward the end of the month the billfish usually show up in good numbers along with great dolphin fishing. Sailfish and Spearfish also mix in so catching a grand slam becomes a real possibility.
August-September
- White Marlin, Blue Marlin, Sailfish,Spearfish, Dolphin(mahi mahi), scattered tuna and wahoo’s.
- August thru September is an awesome and exiting time to fish. These are the months where are marlin or bill fishing is the best. During August there are several big marlin tournament held and anytime during these two months the fishing can be on fire and literally world class. Captain Brian has personally had 20 + billfish days where the boat has caught and released over 20 marlins and sailfish. Several boats have caught over 40 and even 50 billfish in a single day during this time. This is the best time to go and catch billfish of the year. Not only are the white marlin plentiful but the blue marlin also bite good and even the sailfish and spearfish so grand slams are always a good possibility. Catchng a grand slam means catching 3 different species of billfish in a single day and is one of the greatest achievements in sport fishing. There are still dolphins around during this time and that fishing can be good. There are some scattered tunas and wahoos around as well and we will catch them if they are there. We highly recommend this time of year to people that want to catch billfish.
October-November

- October is another good month to fish. Usually we start out fishing for billfish the first week or two and the bill fishing can still be good. Usually then the Tuna and dolphin move back in and the fishing can be very good. Once the tuna show up the meat fishing for tuna and dolphins can be awesome and just as good as may and june. The wahoo fishing can also be phenominal this time of year and we can have some days where we catch several or even more. The tuna, dolphin ,and wahoo fishing can continue into November as well and still be good.
