The difference a day makes! I have always been blessed with the charters that I get. We always end up with the nicest most awesome people almost every trip. These last few days and weeks have been no different. This past Saturday and Sunday I had great groups of people on the boat! We pretty much had the same day each day catching 1 out of 2 yellowfins and a white marlin encounter each day. I wanted to get more bites for both of those groups so bad because they were so awesome but it just didn't work out. And I appreciate there patience and understanding about the slow fishing so much. Yesterday we had another great charter. We had just 2 anglers Josh who had been offshore alot and Rich who had not. When we got to the same fishing grounds as we fished on Sunday it was a different place. Bait and slicks and rips everywhere and pretty water. We spent the morning catching 7 nice yellowfins out of a few more bites.
Then we spent the afternoon catching Rich his first Blue Marlin and his first White Marlin. The blue one was a nice 400 pounder that put on a great show. By the time we got the spread cleared he was a good 400 or more yards away from us. Rich did a great job getting the fish back to the boat after a good chase. Then we simplified the spread and Matt hooked the white on a pitch bait. He was a real pretty fish also and he put on a hell of a show at the boat. Pretty work guys!!
